Large pinion stand mill drive for hot-rolling plant

Galbiati recently designed a large splitter gearbox for a leading Italian hot rolling mill.

It is a large pinion stand mill drive for a hot-rolling mill that handles steel profiles.

Some technical data:

• 1000 kW at 1000 rpm;
• cylinders with an internal diameter of 720 mm;
• complete with board piping;
• dedicated control unit for lubrication of bearings and gear train.
